Rugby Club, Twinney’s Bridge car park, turn left and take the top path to Styal Mill, take the second path next to the ‘Apprentice House’ through to the road, turn left on the road, through the gate, and follow the road/bridleway to the Holiday Inn (A538).

Cross the main road on the tunnel side of the roundabout, climb the steps, follow the path past the fire-station and over the Bollin.  Climb the short slope and follow the path alongside the runway for about 200m, then turn left over a stile.  Turn right on the road, and follow it until the third turning on the right, then turn right at the tee-junction.  After 200m turn left into Graveyard Lane, and then after 400m left onto a footpath.  Follow the footpath through the farm, over the golf-course, over fields to join a farm track

At the farm track turn right, and follow the track to a cross-roads of tracks, carry straight on into Newgate.  After 400m turn left onto a footpath across the old tip, turn right past the allotments to the main road (A538).  Cross the road and return via King’s Road
