Club Routes

This page records some of our regular routes.  The link takes you to a page for each route, which has an interactive map (click to enlarge and move around the map), and also a description.  Hopefully you should be able to print a new route (take the pdf link for a printable version), and follow the route flawlessly from beginning to end (normal disclaimers apply and taxi fares not refundable!).

Errors/omissions, and suggestions for additional routes to Andy or any Committee member.  If you have gps data for our regular routes that would be helpful.

Summer Thursdays

Summer runs are between 7 and 10 miles in length, and are mostly off road on tracks and footpaths, with occasional rough field sections.  Normal road shoes are fine, serious off-road footware not required.

  • Graveyard
  • Airport/Heald Green (new run set by Steve)
  • Bollin
  • Bog
  • Golf Club
  • Castle Mill (new run set by Steve)

Winter Thursdays

Winter runs are 7 to 10 miles in length, and stick as far as possible to lit pavements and footpaths.  Road shoes are suitable.

  • Alderley Edge - Wilmslow
  • Airport Tunnels via Morley Green
  • Water Lane - Dean Row - Handforth
  • Dean Row - Woodford - Total Fitness
  • Handforth Dean - Stanley Road - Handforth
  • Heald Green

Sundays

Sunday runs are normally 10 to 12 miles, but may go up to 14, at a slow pace.  They use roads, tracks and footpaths, with occasional rough field sections.  Road shoes are fine.
