Devotees of the hill may be interested in this comparison of the Stainland 7 versus the Langley 7.
Stainland wins with a total of 896 feet of climbing, against Langley's relatively measley 735. Plus Stainland has the added interest of a few corkers thrown in at the end of the route, versus Langley's relatively simple 'up then down' format.
For comparison, however, look at the results for some of our earlier-season races:-
- Langley Fete - 610 feet of climb, but in only 3 miles
- Bollington Nostalgia - a collosal 917 feet over a similar distance to the two road races
- Forest Five - tops the lot with 967 feet of climb over 5 miles.
